Samsung has cracked the code with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. If you’ve been waiting for a foldable that’s slim, stylish, powerful, and truly useful, then you’re going to love this phone.
From its polished design to software magic and camera excellence, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the ultimate example of how far foldables have come.
Design

You’ll immediately notice how sleek it feels. It’s just 8.9mm thick when folded and weighs 217.2 grams. When the Samsung Galaxy Fold phone arrived, it was 17.1mm thick.
Now, six generations later, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is 8.9mm thick. Compare that to the larger first generation Fold, and you’ll see how impressive the evolution has been.
Despite being so slim, you’re getting a 200MP camera; yeah, you read that right. The cover display is 6.5 inches with a tall 21:9 aspect ratio. When you unfold it, there’s a stunning 8 inch inner screen waiting to wow you.
Almost everything you do on your phone you can do right on the cover screen. But when you want the big screen feel, the inside display is like holding a tablet.
Ports and button

You get dual microphones on both the top and bottom, a USB Type C 3.2 Gen 1 port that Samsung has fitted perfectly into such a thin phone, and stereo speakers.
On the side, there’s a side mounted fingerprint scanner that falls naturally under your thumb, and volume buttons just above it.
Build wise, Samsung has done a brilliant job:
- Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on front
- Gorilla Glass Victus 2 at the back
This is one of the most durable phones. Because it has Gorilla glass ceramic 2 protection on the front and Gorilla glass victius 2 protection on the back. - The hand feel is absolutely amazing. Even if you have small hands, you will not have any problem at all.
Camera
Samsung has gone all in here: I think the S25 edge was a kind of test bed. They put a 200MP sensor in it too, and in this Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, this primary sensor is 200MP; that’s very good.
- 200MP main sensor
- 12MP ultra-wide
- 10MP 3x telephoto
- 10MP selfie on cover + 10MP on main display
In the Z Fold 6, there was a 4MP camera under the display. But in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, they have left these things aside and have put a proper punch hole. I thought this was totally fine.
And yes, portrait shots look incredible. Even video recording is top tier:
- All sensors shoot 4K at 60fps
- 10 bit HDR recording + Galaxy Log for professionals
- ProVisual Engine enhances low-light video beautifully.
If you’re into editing, the large screen + Samsung’s AI features make it super easy to tweak your shots like a pro.
Overall, I would say that the photos and videos have been updated a lot compared to the Z Fold 6.
After taking a photo, you are given a lot of AI features to edit the photo. Since the screen is large, you can edit it; you can put two screens. It is best for multitasking. That is, you can use 2 apps at the same place.
The taskbar is given. Because of all these things, you can do productive activities.
Performance
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 features the latest processor made for the Galaxy: Snapdragon 8 Elite (3mm). Antutu score is 2.2 million. It comes in three variants.
- 12GB/16GB RAM (LPDDR5X)
- 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage
Battery remains 4400mAh but Samsung has really worked on optimization. - 25W wired charging
- 15W wireless
- 4.5W reverse wireless
Samsung even claims 24 hours of video playback.
Display
Both screens are AMOLED, bright, and buttery smooth with 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 nits peak brightness.
- Cover Display: 6.5” FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X
- Main Display: 8” QXGA+ LTPO Dynamic AMOLED 2X
HDR10+, vision booster, and customisation options galore watching Netflix, gaming, or editing feels next level.
One UI 8 + Galaxy AI = Productivity
Running on Android 16 out of the box, One UI 8 is deeply optimized for foldables. You get multitasking like never before:
- Taskbar for quick app access
- Split screen for working in two apps at once
- “Now Brief” and Writing Assistant powered by Galaxy AI
You’ll seriously feel like you’re carrying a pocket sized workstation.
Multimedia and Audio
Audio is clear, rich, and well balanced. Watch HDR content, scroll through YouTube, or stream your favorite shows:
the experience is immersive. Even small things like haptic feedback while folding the phone feel well-tuned and satisfying.
Connectivity
- 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE
- Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, UWB
- There is dual eSIM support here. So you can use 2 eSIMs.
Sadly, there’s no notification LED, no FM radio, and no S Pen support. But you get IP48 certification and fast USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds.
If you want to know the thickness of this phone sitting at home, then you should look at the USB port. The width of the phone is the same.
There is no information about the fold, but I think there will be no problem up to 4-5 lakh folds.
Price
Ultimately, as miraculous as all of this is, its price is also miraculous.
All this innovation comes at a steep price: ₹1,74,999/-
Yeah, it’s not cheap. But if you want the best foldable experience right now, this phone doesn’t just deliver; it overdelivers.
Three color options are available, and yes, the blue one stands out beautifully.
You can only get the Mint color online at Samsung.com.

Conclusion: Is Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Worth It?
Absolutely! This is definitely one of the best foldable phones.
I would say this is one of the most optimized foldable phones. It 100% meets all your expectations from a foldable phone.
I’ve used it and I can confidently say this is the most polished foldable phone in the market right now.
But here’s my advice: Visit an offline store. Feel it in your hands. Once you do, I’m sure you’ll be equally impressed.
