OnePlus Nord CE5 Review: Powerful Performance and Big Battery That Impresses!
If you’re looking for a smartphone that offers incredible performance, a massive battery, and the trust of the OnePlus brand, then I have to tell you about the OnePlus Nord CE5. This is a massive upgrade in the Nord series, and it’s worth your attention.

Design & Build Quality
Let’s start with the design. The Oneplus Nord CE5 comes in three stunning colors Nexus Blue, Marble Mist, and Black Infinity. trust me, the Nexus Blue variant looks premium at first glance. The Design is clean and appealing. The metal ring around the camera looks elegant. Even though the frame is plastic, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. The iconic OnePlus logo at the back adds a nice touch, and the phone feels solid in hand. Despite having a massive 7100mAh battery, the weight is only 200g a testament to OnePlus’s excellent design balance.
Display Experience
The phone features a 6.77 inch FHD+ Super Fluid AMOLED display, which is vibrant and sharp. With a 120Hz refresh rate and 1430 nits peak brightness, outdoor usage is smooth and clear. Netflix and YouTube, and everything looked crisp and immersive. The screen to body ratio is impressive, with minimal bezels adding to the premium feel.
Performance – Super Smooth!
OnePlus has packed this phone with the Dimensity 8350 (4nm) processor, which is a huge upgrade compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 found in the previous CE 4. With an Antutu score of around 1.5 million, the performance leap is significant. I personally played games like BGMI and COD Mobile, and the experience was buttery smooth.
The phone comes in two variants:
- 8GB/128GB
- 12GB/256GB (LPDDR5X RAM + UFS 3.1 storage)
For the price, these specs offer exceptional value. Multitasking, gaming, or content consumption everything runs seamlessly.
Battery & Charging
One of the biggest highlights of the Nord CE5 is its massive 7100mAh battery the largest in the Nord lineup. Along with it, you get an 80W SuperVOOC charger inside the box, plus OnePlus’s signature red Type A to Type C cable. I loved this inclusion! The phone charges fully in about an hour and easily lasts 1.5 to 2 days on normal usage.
Multimedia
While the display is excellent and provides a great video experience, the audio setup is where this phone takes a hit. There’s only a mono speaker, which is disappointing especially since you can now get stereo speakers even in sub ₹10,000 phones. With headphones, the audio is great, but speaker output could have been better.
Camera Setup
The phone features a dual rear camera setup:
- 50MP Sony LYT 600 Primary Sensor
- 8MP Ultra wide lens (OV08D10)
The primary camera performs really well in daylight. HDR performance is significantly improved compared to the CE 4. Portraits and close up shots look detailed. You can shoot videos at 4K 60FPS from the rear camera, while the front camera supports up to 1080p 60fps good enough for vlogging and social media.
Software & UI Experience
This phone runs on OxygenOS 15 one of its biggest strengths. Personally, I believe OxygenOS and One UI are the best Android skins out there. It’s clean, smooth, and free of bloatware. OnePlus’s native dialer also means you get proper call recording features.
AI features are also heavily integrated. The phone promises 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates something rare in this price segment.
Connectivity & Features
The Nord CE 5 checks all the boxes when it comes to connectivity:
- 10 5G Bands
- Dual 4G VoLTE
- Wi-Fi 6
- Bluetooth 5.4
- In display Fingerprint Sensor
- Face Unlock
- All essential sensors
Both fingerprint and face unlock work quickly and reliably.
Verdict – Should You Buy It?
Let me put it this way if performance, battery life, software experience, and the OnePlus brand matter to you, then you should seriously consider this phone.
Sure, the mono speaker is a downside. But everything else makes up for it. The Oneplus Nord CE5 is a solid value for money device. With OxygenOS, a powerful Dimensity 8350 chip, a massive 7100mAh battery, and the trust of OnePlus this phone stands out.
I’d say it’s perfect for those who want a near flagship experience without spending a fortune.
